Experience one of the most scenic mountain biking adventures at Witsand Nature Reserve in the Green Kalahari. This 3,500-hectare park features the famous 'Brulsand' or Roaring Sands of the Kalahari - brilliant white sandy dunes reaching up to 60 meters high surrounded by copper-red Kalahari sand. The intermediate to difficult trail takes you racing up white sandy dunes, down dirt roads, through woodland areas and along gravel roads. With a variety of return options, you can explore wherever you prefer across 18-32km of gravel roads and jeep tracks. The route offers abundant wildlife viewing including 16 antelope species (oryx, red hartebeest, springbok), over 170 bird species including Kori Bustards and Pygmy Falcons, plus meerkats and ground squirrels.
