About this Route

A scenic gravel route following the Crocodile River upstream from Nelspruit towards Montrose Falls and the Sudwala Caves area. The route uses farm access roads and management tracks along the river corridor through riverine forest and subtropical bush. The Sudwala Caves, Pan African Congress of Geology and Montrose Falls are visible along the route. Wildlife sightings — including crocodile, hippo and bushbuck — are possible along the river sections.
