A spectacular 35 km descent from the Kaapsehoop plateau (1,600 m) all the way down to Nelspruit in the Lowveld (660 m). The route drops 940 m over 35 km via the old Kaapsehoop Road through subtropical forest, cliff faces and dramatic escarpment switchbacks. One of South Africa's great cycling descents — fast, technical and visually extraordinary. Best ridden early morning to avoid heat at the bottom.
