A remote gravel adventure through the Kalahari dunes north-west of Upington in the ZF Mgcawu district. The route follows farm tracks across the iconic red sand dunes of the Kalahari through camel-thorn acacia and grey camel-thorn woodland. The silence is absolute, the stars are extraordinary at night, and wildlife including gemsbok, springbok, red hartebeest and brown hyena are all resident. A serious remote gravel experience in one of the world's most distinct desert landscapes.
