About this Route

A mixed MTB and gravel loop circumnavigating the Rietvlei Dam Nature Reserve south of Pretoria. The reserve hosts white rhino, hippo, cheetah and abundant birdlife. The route follows the dam wall, dam perimeter management roads and open grassland tracks through 4,000 hectares of pristine Highveld. A unique combination of wildlife immersion and cycling within 20 km of Pretoria CBD.
