A flat, hot road loop around the Phalaborwa area — the Kruger National Park's northernmost western gate. The route circles through the mining town, past the massive open-pit copper mine (one of the world's largest) and out to the Phalaborwa Gate before returning via the Selati Game Reserve boundary. Best ridden at dawn before the Lowveld heat builds. Elephant and lion are active near the Kruger fence at night.
