One of South Africa's most dramatic road cycling climbs — the Soutpansberg mountain range north of Louis Trichardt rises to over 1,700 m above sea level. The route climbs from Louis Trichardt via the R522 through dense subtropical forest to the Soutpansberg ridge with cloud forest, cycad reserves and sweeping views over the Limpopo lowveld. The descent into Vivo on the northern side adds a thrilling finale. A genuine Limpopo classic.
