About this Route

A well-loved MTB loop through the Modderfontein Nature Reserve in Edenvale, adjoining the Taroko Trails network. The reserve protects open grassland, rocky ridges and indigenous bush on the former Modderfontein explosives factory land. Smooth singletrack and rocky technical sections alternate across a series of koppies with Highveld panoramas. One of Joburg's best-preserved green lungs.
