A remote gravel loop around the Mokolo Dam near Lephalale (Ellisras) in north-west Limpopo. The dam supplies the Medupi Power Station and surrounding coal fields. The route follows farm and reserve management roads around the dam perimeter through dry mopane bushveld. Kudu, eland, giraffe and buffalo are common. A true remote Limpopo experience far from tourist routes with genuine Big Sky Africa wilderness.
