About this Route

MTB trails around the Leeupan Wetland near Brakpan on the East Rand. The wetland is one of Gauteng's premier birding spots and a Ramsar-listed site. The route follows tracks around the reed-fringed lake through open Highveld grassland with sweeping sky views. A flat, accessible MTB loop popular with birdwatchers and cyclists wanting a peaceful East Rand escape.
