About this Route

A guided urban cycling tour of Johannesburg's inner city heritage sites. The route links Constitution Hill, the Apartheid Museum, Newtown Cultural Precinct, Market Theatre, Gandhi Square and the Old Fort — all on bicycle. Largely flat through the CBD with some short sharp climbs on Bree Street and Twist Street. Best ridden early Sunday morning when roads are quiet. A unique perspective on South Africa's most complex city.
