A classic Lowveld road ride from Hoedspruit to the Orpen Gate of the Kruger National Park on the R531. The route passes through Acornhoek and Klaserie township before reaching the bushveld savannah at Kruger's western boundary. Flat to rolling on excellent tarmac with constant wildlife corridor scenery — impala, warthog and zebra frequently cross the road. The Kruger gate marks a natural turnaround with a gate-side coffee stop.
