About this Route

A gravel route exploring the quiet agricultural land east of Johannesburg between Germiston, Benoni and the R21 corridor. Farm roads, smallholdings and wetland areas around the East Rand provide a surprisingly rural escape from the metro. The route passes the Blesbokspruit Ramsar wetland and connects several greenbelt corridors popular with birds and cyclists alike.
