About this Route

Johannesburg's green belt along the Braamfontein Spruit, a roughly 37 km corridor from Alberts Farm in Northcliff through Delta Park, Emmarentia, Bryanston and Rivonia. A non-profit looks after the trails and marks them by use, with bike-only singletrack kept apart from walking and dog-walking paths. You can ride it free from several parks along the way. It suits a quick after-work spin or a longer point-to-point ride across the northern suburbs, and the organisers ask riders to keep to the bike lines.
